The MS Walk
Every year over 40,000 Canadians in more than 160 communities across our country lace up at the MS Walk to raise vital funds for people living with MS.
This family-oriented, community-supported event offers walking routes of varying lengths – including a wheelchair-accessible route – and features start/finish line activities such as inspiring words from MS Ambassadors (people living with MS), entertainment, team awards and more.

When is the MS Walk this year?
Most MS Walk events will take place in May. Find an event near you.
How much does it cost to register for the MS Walk?
There is no cost associated with registering for the MS Walk. However, to be eligible for an MS Walk t-shirt, a minimum fundraising total of $125 is required. On event day, all participants who have not raised funds in advance will be asked for a donation of $20. At this time you will also be asked to sign a participant waiver. Where do I get my pledge sheets?
Please consider using the online fundraising system instead of paper pledge sheets. Donors who pledge online will receive a tax receipt instantaneously, and will save the MS Society of Canada postage costs helping us to direct more funds to research and services.
In order to download a pledge sheet, you will will first need to register for the MS Walk. Once you are registered and logged in to the Participant Centre, locate and click the “Download a pledge sheet” button. You will then be able to print off a pledge sheet. You will need the program Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to do this. Download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free at adobe.com. Can I submit donations and pledges before or after the MS Walk?
Donations (excluding cash) and pledges can be submitted before the MS Walk and up to four weeks after the MS Walk. Please specify on the front of the envelope which MS Walk you are donating to and mail donations/pledges to the following secure address:

I HAVEN’T registered. How can I form or become part of a team?
Select a location from the Locations page to begin the process or call 1-888-822-8467 to register by phone. Upon registration, you will be asked to indicate if you will be participating as an individual, a team member or a team captain.
I HAVE already registered. How can I form or become part of a team?
If you’ve already registered for the MS Walk and would like to join or create a team, please log in to the Participant Centre and select the "Join or create a team button" to complete a request form.
I have a question about the MS Walk in my community, who do I contact?
If you have any questions regarding the MS Walk in your community, select a location to view the Event Coordinator's contact information. If you are unable to find the information you require, contact us at 1-888-822-8467 or firstname.lastname@example.org and we will connect you with our customer service coordinator or the coordinator of the applicable MS Walk location.
I haven’t received any correspondence about the MS Walk this year, what do I do?
If your mailing or email address has changed, please let us know. Communicating your change of address will ensure that you receive mailings in a timely fashion and will diminish the amount of paper we recycle.
Note: Most of our communication to MS Walk participants is now done by email. If you are able to provide us with an email address as an alternate way of communicating, this will allow us to send you information in a timely fashion as well as decrease the amount of regular mail we send out.
Event day questions
What will I need to bring on the day of the MS Walk?
Spring weather is unpredictable, but we’re walking rain or shine. Dress in layers and be prepared for all weather conditions. It is also helpful to bring a refillable water bottle with you to hydrate while you’re on the route.
Also, don’t forget to bring all your pledge information to Check-In to make the process smooth and simple:
PLEDGE SUBMISSION FORM Completely fill in your pledge submission form, including your reward selection (if applicable). The form can be downloaded from the Participant Centre.
PLEDGE SHEET(S) & FUNDS Completely fill in your pledge sheets (download from the Participant Centre), including your personal information, as well as your donor's information. Donations/pledges will be attributed to your fundraising efforts and donors will receive a tax receipt for their contribution.
PLASTIC BAGGIE Enclose the pledge sheets, pledge submission form and any cash or cheques that you are submitting on event day in a clear re-sealable baggie (there will be extras at the Check-In table if needed). Each participant must submit their own forms and baggies.
Where do I find a route map for the MS Walk?
Route maps will only be available on the day of the MS Walk. Depending on the site, there may be 2 or 3 different route lengths available. For route lengths, visit the Locations page and choose an event location.
How do I use the MS Walk online fundraising system?
Once you are logged in to the Participant Centre, please take a few moments to navigate the different tabs and functions of the system.
