1. My Registration

How do I register for Muck MS Canada?

Simply click on Register at the top of your page, and choose your Muck site. Please note: for the Quebec City event, you will be taken to the Totale Bouette website.

How old does a participant have to be to participate in Muck MS Canada?

The minimum age requirement to participate in Muck MS Canada is 12 years old.

What is the price to participate in Muck MS Canada?

Each event features a different pricing structure based on time and promotions. Please refer to the specific event pages for more information.

How come prices are going up?

Early birds do catch the worm! Or in this case, receive a great bonus.

How do I register as part of a team?

From the Hamilton event page, select “JOIN A TEAM” on the right hand side. You can then search for your existing team to join.

How do I register as an individual?

From the Hamilton event page, select “REGISTER AS AN INDIVIDUAL” on the right hand side.

How do I register as a team captain?

From the Hamilton event page, select “CREATE” on the right hand side. You can then enter the team name you would like to create.

Are registration fees tax deductible?

Registration fees are not tax deductible.

Is my registration transferrable?

Registrations are non-transferrable.

Is my registration refundable?

Registrations are non-refundable.

What if I can’t make it to the event? Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, registration fees and fundraising donations are non-refundable.

Can I register on the day of the event (or) at event?

Yes! However, depending on availability, you may not get the wave you choose.

2. My Wave

Can I choose the wave time for me and/or my team?

When you register you select your preferred start time. This is your wave. ou may select either the limited-space premium waves (8:30am & 8:45am) in step 1 of registration, or you can choose a standard wave in step 3.

Am I guaranteed the wave I choose?

When you register you choose your preferred wave start time. You will be notified within two weeks of the event what your actual wave start time is. The MS Society will make every effort to accommodate wave choices. With the exception of the limited-space premium waves, we cannot guarantee you will receive the wave that you choose.

As waves fill up, they will no longer be available as options, but in rare cases, you may end up choosing a time that is no longer available. In the event your wave of choice is full, you will be contacted by a member of our team.

Waves will fill up throughout the summer, so register early for the best chance to get your preferred wave!

Will my team be in the same wave?

We will do our best to accommodate team wave requests - make sure you request early to ensure you are all together.

Can I change my team’s wave time?

Unfortunately, team wave times are not changeable.

3. My Team

How do I join a team?

In Step 2 of the registration process, select “Join an existing team.” Then you can search for the team name or for your team captain's name. Click on your team name to join it.

Does all of my team run in the same wave?

Yes! All of your team will run in the same wave. You will receive an email two weeks out from the event informing your team of your wave time.

Is there a fundraising minimum for my team?

Although fundraising is not required, any donations from your friends, family and co-workers will go a long way in the fight to end MS.

Can I see who is on my team?

You can access your team list through the participant centre.

4. At the event

What will happen on event day?

Check out our Learn More section for details about the event.

What time should I arrive?

It’s best to arrive at Players Paradise Sports Complex an hour to an hour and a half before your wave starts. This will give you time to park, get to the start site, stretch and get prepared to get muddy!

What should I wear?

For the mud run wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy! Avoid metal or jewelry (you don’t want it to get lost in the mud). Feel free to bring a GoPro camera to document your incredible experience. Closed-toed shoes are also recommended.

Make sure to bring a full change of clothes, including shoes, for after the event!

What time does check-in open?

Check-in will open at 8:00 am.

What do I need to check-in?

Bring a piece of photo ID, and your Muck MS Canada registration confirmation email.

What about parking?

Parking is at Players Paradise Sports Complex at 565 Seaman St, Stoney Creek. There you will board a shuttle to the event site, approximately 5 minutes away.

Can I check in for someone else?

Unfortunately, you cannot check in for someone else.

I’m a team captain. Can I check in my whole team?

Unfortunately, you cannot check in for your whole team.

5. My Event

Can I see the course layout beforehand? How long is it?

The course is approximately 5 km long. To keep the suspense, you will only be able to see the course when you arrive. However, keep an eye on @muckmscanada for sneak peeks!

What if I can’t finish an obstacle?

Don’t worry - the obstacles are optional. Just make sure you have a great and safe time!

How long will it take to complete the course?

The time to complete the course will vary between participants. Generally, you can expect to be on the course between one and a half to two hours.

Will there be Muck MS Canada SWAG available for purchase?

Yes! Great gear will be available for purchase on site.

What happens if there’s bad weather?

We will run Muck MS Canada rain or shine… in fact, the rain might make things a lot more interesting!

Is there a fee for spectators?

There is no fee for spectators but a donation would be gratefully received.

6. After the event

How do I get cleaned up and changed?

There will be both washing stations and a space to change and clean up on site.

What is the Muck Market?

The Muck Market is where participants will trade muck stories, relax, and find “takeaways” from their Muck MS Canada experienced.

Will there be food for purchase?

Yes! Food vendors will be on-site for participants and spectators to purchase food and drinks.

8. About My Account FAQs

I forgot my Username and Password.

Remember that your username and password are case sensitive. Click here to reset your username or password.

How do I change my Username and/or Password?

First, log in to the Participant Centre with your username and password. Once you're logged in, you will see a link at the top of the page called "Update My Profile." You will be able to change your contact information, email address, username and password. All changes will be made to your account immediately.

What is a Personal Page?

A personal page is your personal fundraising space on our website for you to advertise your participation in Muck MS Canada and fundraise on behalf of your local chapter of the National MS Society. Your page has a default image and text, but you can edit your Personal Page by logging in to the Participant Centre with your username and password. Many participants customize their pages with their own stories and photos.

How do I change my personal fundraising goal?

Log in to the Participant Centre with your username and password. On the bottom right side of your account home page is the location to modify your personal fundraising goal. Enter your new goal and submit the changes.
