What can I say other than, I'm humbled.
Thanks to your support, since 2016, I've raised over $14,000 for the MS Society – all to help bring an end to multiple sclerosis. This is particularly important in Canada, a country that has one of the highest rates in the world. Through your contributions and well wishes, along with approximately 550 KM of peddling from your’s truly in the annual Airdrie to Olds MS Bike Ride, we’ve done a great deal to support the needed research and are on the cusp of important breakthroughs. https://blog.mssociety.ca/category/research/
And I hope you’re willing to support me again. This June, I’ll be strapping on my helmet and bringing my total kilometres cycled to over 700 (Calgary to Regina!)
Along the way I’ve also had a few teammates join me for the ride, so I challenge you to join me this year! By using same link as above you can then join "my team" Some might question their ability to do it – 180 KM round trip. But before you sell yourself short, consider this:
* Fully supported ride – organizers set up plenty of rest stops with drinks, snacks and lunch. There are bike mechanics to assist with any mechanical issues along the way;
* Transportation available for riders that need a break, bringing them and their bikes to the next stop or even the day’s end point if preferred;
* People of all physical abilities (including those with MS) and ages (riders as young as 11 and as old as 75) have participated in the ride.
* Best part, once you arrive in Olds there are beer gardens followed by a banquet meal and social at night
Please consider supporting or even joining me!
Thank you, Kevin
