Thanks for taking the time to pledge me in this fundraising event!
Those of you that I have been in touch with will know that I sat last years ride out while recovering from a knee surgery. I look back at the challenges and effects this injury had on my life and it reminds me how much we take for granted. Those of us with bad knees are lucky in that we can heal and if all goes well be back to our normal active lifestyle. People living with MS dont have the luxury to take a year off and simply get back on the same saddle.
Saying that, leaps and bounds in the study and treatment of MS is making great improvments to these folks quality of life. These studies and treaments do not come with out a cost and would not be possible without the money raised from these events nation wide.
I again Thank you for taking the time to pledge!
Why I’m gearing up
Every day 3 more Canadians are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable illness that affects vision, balance, memory and mobility. We don’t know what causes MS and there is no cure.
Your support means families who are impacted by this often devastating disease do not have to face MS alone.
Your dollars at work
When you pledge me in the MS Bike, your funds are invested into groundbreaking MS research and services for the 100,000 Canadians living with MS.
Services and programs your fundraising supports:
- Financial assistance for special equipment and home care
- Supportive counselling for all those affected by MS
- Self-help groups and recreational programs for people with MS
- Government advocacy for people living with MS
Thank you in advance for your pledge to create a more hopeful future for those affected by MS.
