Thanks for opening my e-mail. I don't usually get an excuse to use social media to reach out to you. So seeing this you're probably aware of my intent. This is for the Grandbend to London and back MS ride , my 4th, so you see I come with my hand out to give a hand to the friends and family that are afflicted by this disease that has a lot of Canadian families in it's grip.
MS is well established in Canada, while we are not the only country fighting it, we must stay on the forefront of the reseach for a cure and programs to help . While these donations are tax deductable they also tell the government how aware we are of this disease in Canada and it's effects on our people so they will also focus on it. I would appreciate your contributions to help others and show i'll not ride these 150 km with little to show but my sore butt which is little compared to the battle others must endure without our help.
Please read on.
Why I’m gearing up
Every day 3 more Canadians are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable illness that affects vision, balance, memory and mobility. We don’t know what causes MS and there is no cure.
Your support means families who are impacted by this often devastating disease do not have to face MS alone.
Your dollars at work
When you pledge me in the MS Bike, your funds are invested into groundbreaking MS research and services for the 100,000 Canadians living with MS.
Services and programs your fundraising supports:
- Financial assistance for special equipment and home care
- Supportive counselling for all those affected by MS
- Self-help groups and recreational programs for people with MS
- Government advocacy for people living with MS
Thank you in advance for your pledge to create a more hopeful future for those affected by MS.
