When I was in my younger teens I remember the day my parents sat my sister and I down to tell us that my dad had been diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. I didn’t know much about the disease but I was scared for what the future would hold. Fast forward to 3 daughters later my own health started to throw me some curve balls, a year into some strange symptoms and extreme pain I was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting MS at the age of 30. Seeing how the disease had affected my dad, it was a pretty upsetting diagnoses. 3 years later, here I am on my second drug trial, and jumping over all of the hurdles life throws at me, I’ve decided to prove I can beat this disease and help other individuals who suffer along side me. I’m also biking to show my daughters that mommy is strong, and that if they work hard and believe in themselves, they can do whatever they set their mind to.
