For over 33 years my Father has had MS and every day he fights for us and for himself. My Father is one of the strongest men I know and his strength and courage is what makes McCallum's Miles for MS make a difference.
It is with great sadness that I announce after 33 years of fighting this battle, on March 17th 2018, My Father passed away. My Father fought a great battle and now it's time for us to continue this fight. I (we) will continue his legacy in raising awareness and keep my promise, a 10 year goal of raising $30,000. My Father is now running free and his spirit lives with me every day. I will miss him forever xoxo
On July 28th, 2018 I am walking 8km's (a kid friendly walk) throughout Tsawwassen to help raise funds for MS. I will start at the High School in Tsawwassen at 10am (53A St and 8a St), so I hope you can all join me or cheer me on. I am doing whatever it takes in the fight to end MS. I hope this year will be a special year, please join me.
It’s true – 100 000 Canadians live with MS. Having multiple sclerosis means that one morning you may not be able to walk when you wake up. Or that you may suddenly have impaired vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. The symptoms of MS are many and vary for everyone.
I’m taking the challenge to help the MS Society fund research, advocate for change, and help people with MS and their families. Proceeds from my campaign and others like it provide support and services to help those living with this disease, their families and caregivers. They also fund research with three primary goals: to find a cause and cure for MS, repair nervous system damage caused by MS and stop MS attacks. By supporting me, you too can make a difference in the life of someone with multiple sclerosis.
