Last year I tackled the Pain in the Assiboine Urban Adventure Race, which consisted of 32km of mountain biking followed by a 32km kayak, and finished a respectable middle of the pack in my category. So now I am looking ahead to 2019 and trying to decide on my next adventure and I am thinking of tackling Triathlon/Cross Triathlon....My plan is to do a Try-a-Tri at St. Malo in late June, then tackle a cross Triathlon (swim, mountain bike, trail run) in Pinawa in late August....training has begun....swim lesson, treadmill running and stationary bike at the gym....stay tuned for confirmation of plans and training updates....

Brr cold outside!
Spring seems to be slow in warming up this year, even my horse still hasn't shedded out his winter coat yet, this time last year we already had a couple of trail rides in. This means I've been having to hit the gym instead. Been using a "couch to 5K" app to help me with treadmill workouts; I've also been lifting weights. Ugh I would much rather be outside! Can't wait to put the rubber to the pavement and and dip paddle in the water. Training for the #PainintheAssiniboine is underway.
