Canada has the highest rate of MS in the world. It’s true – 100,000 Canadians live with MS. One of them is my daughter, Melissa. Having multiple sclerosis means that one morning you may not be able to walk when you wake up. Or that you may suddenly have impaired vision. Or that your memory will fail. The symptoms of MS are many and vary for everyone. Every case is unique; the 'not knowing' what to expect is very stressful.
I’m challenging myself to walk the Camino to raise funds, to help the MS Society fund research, advocate for change, and help people with MS and their families. I feel very fortunate that two amazing women, Kim Gain and Jacqui Moss, are also keen to do this. Proceeds from our campaign will provide support and services to help those living with this disease, their families and caregivers. Research includes three primary goals: to find a cause and cure for MS, repair nervous system damage caused by MS and stop MS attacks. By supporting me, YOU can make a difference in the life of someone with multiple sclerosis.
We're doing whatever we can to end MS. Please, will you join us by making a donation? Janet
