That's right... I said Ironman! That is a 2.4-mile (3.86 km) swim, a 112-mile (180.25 km) bicycle ride and a marathon 26.2-mile (42.16 km) run, raced in that order and without a break.
As many of you know, MS is close to my heart. Having multiple sclerosis means that one morning you may not be able to walk when you wake up. Or that you may suddenly have impaired vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. The symptoms of MS are many and vary for everyone.
So I am taking on this crazy challenge to help the MS Society fund research, advocate for change, and help people with MS and their families. Proceeds from my fundraising efforts and others like it provide support and services to help those living with this disease, their families and caregivers. They also fund research with three primary goals: to find a cause and cure for MS, repair nervous system damage caused by MS and stop MS attacks. By sponsoring me, you too can make a difference in the life of someone with multiple sclerosis.
If each one of you donate as little as $10 (that's about £7 folks), we can go a long way to supporting this cause. I'm doing the distance, you can do the rest. Will you?
