The weather was hot, the atmosphere was phenomenal, the people were amazing!
On May 7th we hit the pavement with our 9th Annual Jayman Built MS Walk. We are estimated to have had just under 380 walkers and runners at our annual event! We are so grateful here in the Lakeland to have so many people dedicated to our mission, which is to be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life. We have an incredible group of fundraisers who really are the heroes helping us in this fight.
I am so proud to say we have a preliminary estimated total of $135,000 raised so far for our St. Paul/Lakeland Walk, but we will update you over the next few weeks once the numbers are confirmed. Our goal this year was $134,000! We hit our target. In a year that has been hard financially, everyone came together to raise important funds for people living with MS. Some of the funds raised will help fuel important programming and services in the Lakeland Region and some funds will fuel innovative research to find a cure for MS. Sending out a huge thank you to our dedicated volunteers, committed sponsors, many fundraisers, Walk committee and my colleague, Corinne Lotoski; without these individuals, our event would not be possible
