Why I’m walking to end MS
June 3rd, 2015. A date etched in mine, and my families minds. The day my world stood still. After experiencing vague and intermittent symptoms I recieved an MRI and was told I needed to go to the ER right away for the results. After a few hours of waiting, my wife and I heard, "You have lesions on your brain and the top of your spinal cord and it looks like MS".
We really didn't know what that meant or what we should expect. Once getting to the U of A Kaye Clinic and meeting their team of doctors and nurses, we were givien a treatment plan and a mountain of information. One piece of that information was that there is no cure. No cure for this disease that affects thousands upon thousands of Canadians. A disease that is unpredictable in its nature. We're walking to change that; We're walking to raise awarness, funds, and knowledge to help find a cure.
Join us in the fight to end MS
Last year my team " Not MS'n around " was the top fundraising team in Fort McMurray. Due to the wildfires the walk was cancelled but our goal is to reach and surpass what we did last year. Please donate and join us on the walk if possible and lets find a cure!
When you donate to my fundraising efforts for the MS Walk, your funds are invested into research to find the cause and cure for the disease, while providing services to Canadians with multiple sclerosis and their families.
Thank you in advance for joining the fight to end MS.
