I walk for my sister!

***Please donate to my team or walk with me on May 27th at Stuart park to support those who cannot.***

The reason I am inviting you to my team:

My sister Melissa is a MS WARRIOR!  She has kept positive even when life has been turned upside down.

Melissa was diagnosed with this disease at the young age of 23, she is now 34 years old, on permanent disability and the relapses have been quite debilitating over the years!

My sister, always the top athlete and over achiever in school and university cannot walk without the assistance of medication, a walker, cane or friend and it is a true victory when she can reach 1,000 steps a day.

Melissa has suffered from relapse, after relapse and has been allergic to every single medication she as tried, which has been every medication FDA approved to treat MS.

A year ago, my sister was asked to test a new medication that has not been FDA approved because her relapsing MS has taken over her body and mental clarity.

The new medication is actually to treat cancer so it knocks her off her feet because it is so strong.

I don’t have enough words to say just how proud I am of Melissa for keeping so positive throughout all of the relapses.

Today MS is treatable but it is NOT CURABLE!

Please walk with me, or on your own, in support of all people living with MS!

You may also make a donation to my team as well if you choose.

Any support is appreciated, even if you just want to walk!

Let’s end the battle people are living with every day and help the MS SOCIETY find a cure!

My sister is only one year older than I am and we need to see her strive again, especially for her husband and 4-year-old son!

It is time to make a difference and kick MS to the curb!

Thank you for taking the time to read.
