We are walking in honour of our friend & Safeway Pharmacy co-worker Marina Novikoff. Marina passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on March 23 of 2016 at only 52 years. Marina was diagnosed with MS in her mid 20's, but never allowed her diagnosis to dampen her amazingly positive outlook on life. She could find the bright side in literally any situation. Her sunny disposition & special ability to connect with people has brightened not only our lives for the last several years, but also those of our customers who have felt as though a trip to our pharmacy was like a visit with a friend. Some were facing a serious illness or that of a loved one. When they were served by Marina, they left our counter feeling warm inside like they'd received a hug from someone who genuinely cared; some of them actually had. Although we feel profound loss due to her passing, we are also immensely grateful for all the many smiles and laughs we've shared over the past up to 25 years. If there's anything Marina has taught us, it's to appreciate the positives in our lives.
Any donations in her honour are greatly appreciated by all who loved Marina. Please help us reach & surpass our team goal of $8000.
