I am once again asking for your support this year as Chris, my husband, and I walk for MS. We will be walking on Sunday, May 6th and this will be our 13th year in a row! We will also be walking with our 10-year-old son, Topher, and our 8-year-old son, Xander. We are walking in honour of my father, Marcel Thibodeau, who battled MS for the last 28 years of his life. Although my dad passed away almost six summers ago on his 70th birthday, he made a daily effort to beat MS.
This year, our team will also be dedicating our walk to someone else very important to us. Tara Thibodeau, my beautiful sister-in-law, was diagnosed with Relapsing-Remitting MS at the young age of 41 years old. Therefore, as always, our team is going to try our best to surpass our past fundraising efforts.
Last year our team of family and friends (MS Mega Stars) raised over $2700. It would be fantastic if we could challenge that number again this year and surpass it to show our support for Tara and her daily fight!
For those who don't know, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a neurological disease with no known cure. It affects the transmission of electrical signals in the body's nervous system, leading to a loss of mobility, vision, and more. MS affects millions of people worldwide.
Your support will make a difference in the fight against Multiple Sclerosis; help bring MS to an end.
Thank you - from myself, Topher, Xander, Marcel, Tara and all who are forced to deal with MS on a daily basis.
