MS and OTTO
In May of last year, Otto arrived at the Cuddie household. While officially belonging to my son, Russell, Otto was with Jennifer and me Monday-Friday as Russell worked out of town. A puppy is exciting but challenging. He and I spent a lot of time outside. Otto got me walking a lot more. He loved to sit under my walker and liked to walk in the middle of the walker (where I normally place my feet!). I had to be ready for his quick response time. One day while walking around the yard on his leash, he suddenly went one way and I (along with my walker) landed in the grass – Otto thought this a great game. As he grew bigger and stronger I knew I had to teach him to "scooter walk" with me. At almost 60lbs and a year old now, walks with Otto have become a welcome addition to my living with MS repertoire.
