In 2013, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with Remitting-Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis. I experienced an aggressive progression of the disease and went through a number of disease modifying drugs before finally seeing success with my current treatment (thanks Lemtrada!). I am now feeling wonderful and experience more benefits all of the time. This is thanks to research and the discovery of new medications!
MS looks different for everyone, but for me it has included numbness, weakness, difficulty walking, vision difficulties and fatigue, among other not so pleasant symptoms. I have been fortunate to have gotten involved with the MS Society and believe funding is crucial to finding a cure for this disease, as well as understanding its causes, treating symptoms and supporting individuals who suffer from MS. Thank you for joining the fight for me and all of those affected by MS!
