Why I’m lacing up
It has been over four years since I was diagnosed with Progressive MS. My life has changed in many ways since then. I have learned to take things one day at a time and enjoy what I am still able to do and not dwell on things that are beyond my abilities. I try very hard to stay positive. My motto has become "Get up...Get dressed and Get out!" For three years now a group of friends and family members have participated with me in the MS Walk here in Barrie. Each year we have increased our goal and with the help of many, many people we have managed to beat that goal for a cause that is very important to me. This year I will walk again for not only myself but the whole MS community and I am hopeful and thankful for friends and family who will support this cause by joining me in the walk or sponsoring me.
Your support means families in our community who are impacted by this often devastating disease do not have to face MS alone.
