Why I’m walking to end MS
We're walking in suport of our son Steven and all those with MS.
Canada has the highest rate of MS in the world. Every day three more Canadians are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable illness that affects vision, balance, memory and mobility. We don’t know what causes MS and there is no cure.
Your support means Canadian families who are affected by this disease do not have to face MS alone.
When Steven was diagnosed with MS, we had so many questions - what does it mean, how did he get it, what will happen and of course, why. The only experience we had with MS, was the MS Read-a-thon that our school participated in for several years. We quickly did some research and found some answers to our questions.
Steve has Secondary Progressive MS. There is research being done in this area but more research is necessary before a treatment is developed and approved.
Steve continues to face this life changing illness with courage and the support of wife Kelly, family and good friends.
Your support is appreciated.
When you donate to my fundraising efforts for the MS Walk, your funds are invested into research to find the cause and cure for the disease, while providing services to Canadians with multiple sclerosis and their families.
Thank you in advance for joining the fight to end MS.
