		Honorary Chair John W. Meaney, Mayor of the Town of Kirkland "It is with great pride that I agreed to act as Honorary Chairman for the MS WALK to benefit Multiple Sclerosis Research. The success of such an event relies essentially on the active participation and the generosity of the thousands of walkers and dedicated volunteers who contribute so much of their time and energy to this great cause. I thank them most sincerely for that. I also wish to take this opportunity to salute the courage and determination of the people of all ages suffering from this terrible disease. Together, let's walk and make a difference ... one step at a time!"

		By taking part in the MS Walk, for yourself or for someone you care about, such as your father, your mother, your sister, your brother, or a friend, you will fund leading-edge research on multiple sclerosis (MS), as well as the programs and services available in your region to people who have this disease. MS is an unpredictable disease that can affect vision, memory, balance and mobility, among other things.
